Professional Concrete Preparation
Long-lasting epoxy floors begin with professional surface preparation. Every project includes:
- Full diamond grinding of concrete
- Industrial dust extraction
- Crack opening and professional crack repair
- Spalling repair
For added protection, I install a moisture vapor barrier on over 95% of my floors, even when it is not strictly required. This prevents future coating failures caused by moisture pressure from beneath the slab.
I use 100% solids epoxy to ensure superior adhesion, strength, and durability. While fast-curing systems are available, I prioritize proper adhesion/bonding and longevity over rushed installations whenever possible.
